Mariah Carey is endorsing Angel champagne - bottles of which can reach $290,000.
A non-vintage unit is priced at roughly $1,010 while the numbered bottles of the 12-year-old vintage brut version are packaged in diamond-studded leather cases and cost $290,000.
Limited to 24 bottles, the special editions are platinum finished and individually numbered with solid platinum labelling. Mounted diamonds and diamond-encrusted screw heads complete the finish.
The champagne (from winemaker Patrick D'Aulan) is the brainchild of British businessman Stefano Zagni, who said: “I sent some bottles to Mariah for her wedding anniversary and she said how much she loved it. Now she's invested in us and she's part of the team.”
As well as providing a celebrity endorsement, the star is also investing some of her own money in the brand.
