– Since its inception in 1990, Origins Natural Resources has been committed to providing naturally-based beauty offerings that promote beauty and wellness. As the organic movement began to spread its wings from the produce aisles of grocery stores, Origins waited somewhat impatiently for organic capabilities to stretch to the beauty-care arena. In 2007, Origins’ takes its natural premise one giant leap further, changing the beauty landscape by providing consumers with a new choice in personal care products through an all-new collection of skin, body and hair care products certified to meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Organic standards.

“Before we could put our name on a collection of Organic products, we needed to ensure that we were formulating the most reliable, sustainable, high quality and authentic products we could without compromising our prestige status when it comes to aesthetics or efficacy,” said Daria Myers, Global President and co-founder of Origins. These products were formulated to exclude artificial preservatives and unnecessary additives, and a Government-approved Certifier inspected each offering. “When encountering beauty products featuring the USDA Certified Organic seal, consumers can be certain that the standards required for certification remained stringent because these products comply with the same standards the USDA requires for organic food,” explains Joe Smillie, Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance International, one of the primary certifying bodies for the USDA. The end result is the nine-product Origins Organics™ collection, providing an all-new personal care choice to consumers.
