Celebrating the world of wine
The Riviera capital is soon to welcome a truly unmissable event - the 'Wine and Independent Winegrowers Fair'. Around 220 wine experts from all over the country will be there to share, discuss and sell their lives' passions – authentic French wine
The fair takes place from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd of February in Nice. Visitors are welcome to walk, talk and taste at the stalls of winemakers from every wine-producing region in the country.
Free introductory lessons in tasting will be given, along with a courtesy carved wine-tasting glass. New services such as free transport carts and a home delivery service ensure an enjoyable and practical evening.
The Independent Winegrowers are hoping everyone will come along to learn, understand, taste and discuss their special brand of viticulture. For those who are already experts, the experience promises a chance to enjoy quality wine products and to speak with the actual winemakers behind their favourite beverages.
The fair is organised by the Independent Winegrowers Association, who pride itself on responsible, thorough and quality winemaking. United by a common love for the French viniculture, this family of professionals put huge emphasis on respect for the environment and tradition.
They have set up a support system of departmental and regional federations for local winegrowers covering every wine-producing region in the country, from Alsace to Champagne, promoting and preserving the heritage they value so much.
Entry into the grand occasion at the Acropolis costs just six euros. It will be open from 2pm to 8pm on the Friday, and during the weekend from 10am to 7pm.
