Anantara resorts, known for offering luxury tourists lush jungle and island paradises, opens its first resort in Sanya, in the Hainan Province of China.
Offering 122 rooms spread over secluded pool villas, suites, and large rooms, the newest Anantara location overlooks the mountains and the South China Sea.
Hotelchatter calls the property “a mixture of top-notch Asian service with the endless summer of Southern China.” Four restaurants boast menus laden with local, traditional, Thai, and Western cuisines. The most centrally located restaurant, Shi Yuan, offers guests all-day dining options and a breakfast buffet.
Guests are treated to services at the famous Anantara spa, including couples packages and small-group yoga and tai chi.
Rates begin at $328 per night for a basic premier room.
