Clos du Mesnil 2000
Just in time for the festive period ahead, the prestigious House of Krug has released two rare Champagnes: Clos du Mesnil 2000 and Vintage 2000.
Produced from a single walled plot of vines (in Mesnil-sur-Oger), a single grape variety (Chardonnay) and a single year (2000), Clos du Mesnil 2000 is characterized by aromas of ripe apple, toffee, honey, and citrus fruits with indulgent flavours of peaches and white blossoms, gingerbread, honey and orange zest. Best paired with seafood.
Nicknamed gourmandise orageuse, Vintage 2000 is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. The nose opens with notes of caramel, nougat, hazelnut and freshly baked pastries, followed by citrus-fruit gratins and lime zest on the palate. The finish is long and persistent. Excellent with desserts containing roasted fruits. Time to toast to the new year!

Vintage 2000
Cheers from The Luxury Guru.

I will keep my eyes on this .
