Swiss fine watchmakers Corum have released a limited edition, 30-piece only timepiece to mark the closing of the recent Bol d’Or Mirabaud regatta. This is the second consecutive year Corum has sponsored the world’s largest closed-water regatta, and the sporty new model reaffirms the brand's dedication to the nautical arena and the Okalys-Corum team.
Organised for the first time in 1939, the Bol d’Or has become the most important World regatta on an inland lake. A large and popular nautical festival, the Bol d’Or has become one of the great classics of the international regatta agenda. Each year, champions from all over Europe meet on the starting line, in the company of nearly six hundred sailboats.
The real time winner of the Geneva – Le Bouveret – Geneva course wins the Bol d’Or challenge, which is in, play each year – unless it was won three out of five of the last years by the same owner or owners’ association. Only three boats have achieved this challenge to date (see “History of the Bol d’Or").
The Bol de Vermeil trophy rewards the first mono-hull to cross the finish line. As with the Bol d’Or challenge, it must be won three out of the last five years to be kept indefinitely.
The racecourse is designed to be as simple as possible: there is only one rounding mark at the halfway point, Le Bouveret (except the new offset mark for multi-hulls).

The Corum Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Chrono Bol d’Or Mirabaud comes equipped with the star complication for sports watches, the chronograph function, housed in a generously sized 48 mm blue case. The covetable model is distinguished by a twelve-sided bezel in the same regal shade, along with the nautical pennants that are a signature feature of the Admiral’s Cup collection.
