If you're looking for an idyllic way to sail round the Aegean, cruising on board the Sea Cloud might just pique your interest.

A beautiful vessel, one of its most spectacular voyages is an eight-day trip from Athens through the Greek islands to Turkey and back again. Stops include Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage site; Rhodes, home to the Palace of the Grand Master; and Bodrum, the Turkish town where the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus once stood - one of the original seven wonders of the world.

Meanwhile another historic journey begins in Athens and finishes in Cyprus. It takes in Knossos, home of the Minotaur; Latakia and Aleppo, two of the world's oldest continually-inhabited cities; and Tartarus, home to the Krak de Chevaliers, a Christian castle from the time of the first crusade.

Both trips start from $3,995 per person.
