It definitely sounds like you attracted something you DON’T want and I’d like to help you get to a place where you attract what you DO want. You can tell when you are either attracting or not attracting what you want by asking yourself a simple question: Do I feel good or do I feel bad? Your body, how you feel physically, is often the gauge to your emotions and it’s important to understand why you feel a certain way. What I recommend is to purge all the negative statements running through your mind such as, “ I don’t want this to happen!” To do this, write a list of all the things that you DON’T want to happen. Next write a list of all that you DO want to happen.
At the bottom of the page, ask the universe to give you a sign. Wait a few days until you are less reactive to the situation so you can make a decision from a powerful place—it’s hard to make a decision when you’re emotionally charged. (If you need more support on letting go of emotional charge, check out last week’s tip.) Soon you may receive a sign or clarity from the list you wrote. If you still feel unsure, wait until you are in a more peaceful place and again focus on what you DO want rather than what you DON’T want.
A great tool is to pretend you are a coach and that a friend just came to you with the same problem. What would you tell your friend? And really trust your answer. It is my commitment that we all reach a place where we are able to trust our inner guidance system. While we are on training wheels as we implement a new set of tools there are times we need a coach to hold our hand until we can ride the attraction bike on our own. Yet, I know that the answers we need are within us.
Another great tool, which I recently learned from T.Harv Eker, is to ask: “How will I feel about myself after I make that decision?” This question is applicable for the long term. For example, if you are on a diet and you are deciding whether or not to eat the chocolate mousse cake for dessert ask yourself: “How will I feel about myself after eating it?” Probably amazing in the short run—but in the long run, not so great! I hope these tools guide you onto the right track. Remember to be patient with yourself as you learn these new tools. We are forever growing and we are NOT perfect. Take the pressure off and remember to have FUN whenever you can—because ultimately that’s what will make you more of attraction magnet.
